Introduction

PDMWeb is a Product Document Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. PDMWeb is used to manage product and the data associated to the product all the way through the product's lifecycle -- from art to part.

The intent of PDMWeb is to be platform independent using open source software solutions where ever possible or feasible. PDMWeb has been designed as an intranet system around the traditional open source LAMP solution, and as such can hosted off on any system running the Apache web server, the MySQL database server, and the PHP scripting language.
